Employee notice template
Many organisations inform employees, and often consult employee representatives, before introducing monitoring tools. Adapt this template to your rules, retention settings and process. The text in square brackets is yours to fill in. The same summary is shown by the Klipsu app on managed devices (configurable in Settings → Endpoint defaults).
Klipsu on managed devices
Our organisation uses Klipsu Sentinel with the Klipsu clipboard manager on work devices. Your clipboard history is synced end-to-end encrypted through our own server; nobody in the organisation can read it.
To protect credentials, customer data and confidential documents, Klipsu checks copied text on your device against security rules set by [team]. When text matches a rule, [team] receives a report with the rule name and a masked version of the match (for example the last four digits of a card number), the application you copied from, your device and the time. Depending on the rule, Klipsu may notify you, clear the clipboard or keep the item out of sync.
For some rules the matched text is also kept encrypted on your device for [N] days. It is only retrieved if an investigation requires it, with a written reason, and can only be opened by [role] using a protected passphrase. You will [be notified / not be notified] when this happens. Every access is logged.
